Hollow Fiber Cartridges from FiberCell™ Systems are also designed to be compatible with the Cellmax® and Quad pumps. They are a direct fit replacement that will offer improved performance when compared to Cellmax cartridges.

• The high gross filtration rate polysulfone fiber results in faster delivery of nutrients and removal of waste products. An added benefit is that cells grown in these cartridges are more resistant to high levels of lactate making the timing of cell culture medium changes much less critical. It is not necessary to measure lactate, a simple monitoring of glucose using a simple glucometer is all that is required.
• There is slightly more surface area and more tubing for oxygenation resulting in higher yields.

• Due to the high rate of diffusion it may be necessary to inoculate a slightly higher number of cells and/or ensure that the initial volume of medium in the reservoir bottle is no greater than 125 mls.
